Mobile Image Resolution Size

Attention: SAP Field Service Management documentation is now available at the SAP Help Portal. On 31 December 2020, docs.coresystems will no longer be available. Until that time, documentation will NOT be updated in docs.coresystems.

It is possible to configure the max resolution size of an image uploaded in SAP Field Service Mobile.

This is acheived by adjusting the following company setting in Admin > Companies > Company Settings:

Setting Name Default Value Max Value Min Value
Coresystems.Mobile.MaxImageResolutionSize 650 (px) 3000 (px) 300 (px)

The default value for max image resolution size in the mobile application is 650 pixels.

The max upper value for Coresystems.Mobile.MaxImageResolutionSize is 3000px. The min lower value is 300px. Images above or below this range cannot be displayed in the mobile application.

Attention: If you update this setting, you must update the MaxAttachmentSize setting to ensure the cloud will process the larger uploaded images. Images with a resolution size of 3000px will create an attachment size of roughly 12MB.

Example Image Resolution Scenario

The application compresses the image down to the MaxImageResolutionSize size by checking the width and height of the image.

For example, if the MaxImageResolutionSize setting value is set to 1200 (px) and the image width is 900px and image height is 1800px, then the image height will be scaled down to the same aspect ratio based on the MaxImageResolutionSize to ensure the image isn’t distorted.
