Admin


In a Nutshell



The Admin module is used to administer company application settings, manage business rules and notifications for cloud-based data, view SMS billing information, query cloud-based company data, and more.


Access and Log-in

If you have Super Admin permissions as a user, you can access the Admin module by entering your Field Service Management account and user credentials:

Account Name The name of the Field Service Management account and the user name (example: company1/john-doe1)
Password The password associated with the Field Service Management user.

The Admin module can also be accessed using your Cloud Account credentials:

Account Name The name of the cloud account (example: john-doe1)
Password The password associated with the cloud account.

Additionally, the Admin module can also be using valid single sign-on credentials:



Note: If a user has the SUPERUSER role, they can access the Admin module by entering their Field Service Management account and user credentials.

Superuser Role

In the Admin app, it is possible to set a user role as superuser.

The superuser can do the following:

  • can login to admin and access all admin functionality
  • also has a cloud account of type CUSTOMER
  • can access advanced user settings in the Master Data Management app.
  • permissions
  • When changing this setting there is no full sync triggered as it would change the permission in the linked user group

Admin Module Tabs

From the Admin module you can view and access the following tabs:

Tab Name Description  
Business Ruless This tab can be reached after selecting a company in the Companies tab. From it, you can create event-based business rules and notifications. Go
Account From this tab, you can view Account record information. Go
Companies From this tab, you can view company information associated with your account. Go
Permissions From this tab, you can view Permission information asociated with your account. Permission Groups are used to customize application behavior for different user groups. Go
Custom Objects From this tab, you can define and manage custom objects and custom fields for a company. Go
User Groups From this tab, you can view User Group and Data Sync Rule information asociated with your account. Data Sync Rules are used to control what data is stored in the mobile application offline for different user groups. Go
Subscriptions From this tab, you can view account subscription information. Go
Users From this tab, you can view account user records. Go
Query API This tab is located in the Companies tab. After selecting a company from the Companies tab, the Query API tool can then be used to build and execute CoreSQL queries against the cloud-based company data. Go
Custom Objects This tab is located in the Companies tab. After selecting a company from the Companies tab, the Custom Objects and Fields tab can then be used create and manage custom data objects and fields that can be used as an extension of the existing data model. Go
Translations This tab is located in the Companies tab. After selecting a company from the Companies tab, the Translations tab can then be used to create custom translations that can be used in business rules. Go
Screen Configurations This tab is located in the Companies tab. After selecting a company from the Companies tab, the Screen Configuration tool can then be used to build to customize supported screens that appear in the mobile application. Go
