ATTENTION In order for technicians to be visible on the service map, the auto-location settings must be configured. Please refer to the following guide for configuring these settings.

In a Nutshell

The Service Map can be used to better manage and plan service calls and activities that are created in the Workforce Management and/or Project Management apps and released to technicians to be completed in the mobile application.

ATTENTION: The Google Maps services embedded in our products are not allowed to be used in the following countries and regions: Crimea, Cuba, Iran, Myanmar, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Vietnam.

Displayed Activities

When a date range is selected to display activities, any activity that falls within the date range or begins or ends on the date of the range start or end will displayed.

Date Range Indicator

Previously, when an activity was longer than one day it was difficult to see what date range the activity was planned for. This has been made clearer by adding the date range to the activity card on the map:

Displayed Activity Status

The map now displays activities assigned in different activity execution stages:

Stage Description
Unassigned Activities to be planned but not yet assigned to a technician.
Assigned Activities assigned to a technician but not yet released.
Released Activities assigned and visible to the technician on his/her mobile.
Closed Activities checked-out.

Now you can focus your attention only to the activities of interest by selecting the most suitable assignment state without needing to click on each activity.

A Closer Look

The Service Map consists of the following components:

Filters

The following filters are included in the service map:

Activity Subject The subject/title given to the activity. This title may also be inherited from the Service Call or Project with which the activity is associated.
Customer The customer associated with the activity.
Equipment Serial No. The serial number of the equipment record.
Technician The active technicians in the displayed map area, based on the location data received from the mobile application. Please refer to the following for information on Auto-Location.

Calendar Selector

By selecting either the start or end date fields, the application will display a calendar which can be used to select the service call/activity date:

This is primarily used to view planned activities set to occur on a given date.

Display Record Type

Here, you can select which records you would like to display on the service map. Options include:

  • Activities
  • Technicians
  • Customers
  • Equipment

For example, when the Equipment option is selected, the application would display the equipment records, which would then display on the map:

Street View

By selecting this and dragging and dropping it on a position within the map, you will be able to view the street-level view of the point on the route.
