Administration (QSG)


In a Nutshell



The Administration module is used to administer company application settings, manage business rules and notifications for cloud-based data, view SMS billing information, and more.

With the Administration module, you can create notifications for specific events to optimize business operations, such as alerting managers when items are low in stock.


A Closer Look

The Administration module consists of several tabs. These tabs are based on permission settings. If you do not have sufficient permissions, you will be unable to view them.

Section Description
Accounts Here you can view your account information.
Companies Here you can view the companies associated with your account.
Permission Groups Here you canv view permission group assignments associated with your account.
Subscriptions Here you can view your account subscription information.
Users Here you can view user account information.
Business Rules & Notifications If you have sufficient permissions, here you can create business rules and event-based notifications.

When the Business Rules & Notifications option is selected, you will see the following information:

Field Description
Name The name of the Business Rule/Notification.
Created The date on which the Business Rule/Notification was created.
Embedded Read-only.
Enabled Yes or No. If Yes, the Business Rule/Notification will be active.
Event The event that triggers the Busines Rule/Notification. Options for Objects include: Create; Create or Update; Update; Update or Delete; Delete; Upload from SAP FSM Connector; and Scheduled.
Object Type The Data Transfer Object (DTOs) associated with the event. For a closer look at these DTOs, refer to the following.
Action The resulting action triggered by the event. Options include: Build checklist report; build report; build service checkout report; create object; create requirement; request approval; send email send HTTP Request; send SMS; and update object.
Last Executed The date on which the Business Rule/Notification was last triggered.

How do I use it?

Create New Business Rule/Notification



When creating a new Business Rule/Notification you will enter the following information:

Field Description
Name The name of the Business Rule/Notification.
Description A description of the Business Rule/Notification.
Embedded Read-only. Default No.
Enabled Yes or No. If Yes, the Business Rule/Notification will be active.
Event The event that triggers the Busines Rule/Notification. Options for Objects include: Create; Create or Update; Update; Update or Delete; Delete; Upload from Coresystems Connector; and Scheduled.
Object Type The Data Transfer Object (DTOs) associated with the event. For a closer look at these DTOs, refer to the following.
Variables Here you can select which DTO versions you would like to use, as well as select other objects to include in the business rule.
Conditions Here, you can apply additional conditions to the business rule.
Action The resulting action triggered by the event. Based on the selection here, the application will display specific fields below. For instance, for Build Report, you will then input the language, type, whether to send it empty, the recipient, the subject, and the content.
