This document provides answers to the most frequently asked questions pertaining to the Self-Service application.


FAQ

Q: Why is Self-Service not working anymore after renaming the company?

Please try to avoid this action as the Self-Service module relies on the company name. When enabling Self-Service, the company name is the key to link the account to this particular company. If it has to be done anyway, please proceed with the following steps:

  1. Rename the company back to the original name
  2. Disable Self-Service access
  3. Rename the company
  4. Enable Self-Service access again

Alternative: Disable and enable Self-Service access again

All distributed QR-Codes will not work anymore when the company name is changed.

Q: What do I need to consider when cloning company settings?

Please remove all Self-Service related company settings in companySettings.json before importing them to a new account or company. Those settings start with the prefix CoreSystems.Now..

Q: Why are there no Time-Slots available?

To make sure that the timeslots are available, the following conditions need to be fulfilled:

  • Please provide real data (no fake data).
  • Technician has a home base (Address).
  • Technician has a location (longitude/latitude).
  • Equipment has an address defined.
  • All skills required by the equipment AND item are available on a technician.
  • Distance between service location and technician is not cross continental.
